#BlogTour #BookReview – Relight my Fire by Joanna Bolouri @QuercusBooks @AnaBooks @scribbles78 #RelightmyFire

If you love a laugh-a-minute, energetic read then Bolouri’s tale based on pretty much modern day life for parents, is definitely the one for you.  With cheeky thrills and an easy to follow diary layout, Bolouri will have you eating out of the palm of her hand as she pulls you into the hilarious world of Phoebe.

51BklsfUxWL._SX323_BO1,204,203,200_‘When Phoebe and Oliver had their happy ending, they thought the hard part was over.  And now, with a five year old daughter, they are far from the blissful hedonistic lifestyle of when they first started dating.

Not one for giving up, Phoebe creates a sexy wishlist: a jar where they can ask the other for anything they’ve ever wanted in bed – or out of it.  But with distractions aplenty, will they be able to relight the fire in the bedroom?’

Phoebe is a real character and Bolouri’s hilarious sense of humour really shines through in her.  Modern day issues are used in a way that lightness is brought to the table, you know, so that nothing is taken too seriously, but the problems are there and need to be dealt with in order that both Phoebe and Oliver can continue with their lives together happily.

Now, I want to hold my hands up and confess that I have not read Bolouri’s ‘The List’, and had no idea that this was in fact a sequel to a best-seller.  I hold my head in shame and shall return to the beginning of Phoebe’s journey with high hopes and much anticipation.

Even though this is a rom-com, there is certainly depth to the story of which we can all relate to in some way, and there is definitely a bit of Phoebe in all of us.  She is an all encompassing character that will have you raucously laughing with her endless innuendoes.

There are memorable scenes aplenty and a story that will stay at the heart of you, as you try not to let this happen to your own life.  Bolouri does wonders when it comes to capturing attention, making you laugh and simply enjoying being in the moment of reading this enlightening book.

Relight my Fire is an addictive read that you will just whip through.  Perfect for a quiet night in, a sun bed by the pool, or even if you just want to hide in the toilet away from your kids.  You will devour it and love it, just like I did.

A huge thank you goes to Ana at Quercus for my copy in exchange for an honest review as part of the Blog Tour – why not check out some of the other bloggers?

Bye for now!
